Cole was really active all day. He was smiling, wiggling, and rolling around. He seemed to be getting into the 'holiday' spirit. Well it apparently wore him out. Shawn put him up on his shoulder to walk outside (vs cradling him where that would have surely put him to sleep).

We spent so much time talking and laughing, we didn't get around to the hunting until the end of the day. So as we gathered our baskets together, we noticed that Cole was getting fussy. He's such a mild-mannered little boy and really only gets fussy like that when he's tired and right before he falls asleep. Sometimes, by talking to him he'll wake up - but not today! He was not particularly enjoying it and even pointing out the brightly colored eggs didn't seem to sway him.

And then just like that - he fell asleep!! Really asleep.

We kept thinking he would open up his eyes any minute - no such luck.

We joked that we could, using adobe photo shop, show his eyes open.

But then after about 4-5 eggs, we just couldn't stop laughing at how silly this whole thing was. So he got to finish out the egg hunt snuggled up on the couch sleeping off the rest of the adventure.

Luckily, he woke right up near the end of the car ride home from Grandma Jacquie's and Grandpa Keith's - beautiful!

So out comes the camera for a few more pictures and we didn't stop taking pictures until he started to look disgusted at the whole thing.

So Happy Easter from all of us here in Utah. We hope your holiday (whenever you chose to celebrate it) was colorful and bright & full of chocolaty goodness.
