2pm - mostly a day of waiting

Today we do not have a lot to report. They did remove Cole's surgery drain and that went very well and he barely fussed. So that is one more tube removed. Yea! He is still swollen about the same amount. He is moving a little more including reaching out and grabbing the bars of the crib. Tomorrow we are scheduled for a MRI to rule out any possible brain reasons that Cole has been slow to become more active. We are hoping that his shunt will be re-internalized on Monday or Tuesday of next week. Shawn's cousin Amee who is here from Canada checking out the University of Utah as a possible school to attend for medical school, came up to visit and that was very nice for us, although Cole slept through her visit. We have been playing a cd of Primary songs that Grandma Jackie plays for him when he is visiting. It is very sweet and calming and he very much loves it. Thanks Grandma Jackie!
