They have trees at this thing?

We met up with some friends who have a little guy about Brooklyn's age and headed down to the Festival of the Trees, a community event intended to benefit Primary Children's Medical Center, a place we've certainly benefited from many years.

A group of women enlist companies, organizations, private individuals who provide 700 full decorated christmas trees, wreathes, quilts for other individuals, organizations, and companies to ultimately purchase but now before we all have a look. Some are a little campy and over the top -- for my taste, but considering the cause and the extreme generosity it's easy to look past those few examples.

But our other reason for going down to the festival included the Kids Korner, an area set up between the trees and entertainment stages for making kids crafts.

Success, at last!!

It was a huge hit and the kids did really well although they hardly sat still for us to take pictures of the assorted crafts -- except for the reindeer ornament.

So we nearly only have pictures of fishing and the giving tree since they had to stand still long enough to catch a fish (candy) or stick their hand through a hole in the tree to retrieve a toy.
